Newsletter Release Notes: Gap Fee, API Integration & User Roles

Gap Fees

This simple toggle can allow your customers to pay a small $ amount needed to reach the order minimum amount and fulfill the order without adding more food items to their order. This allows you to capture those smaller orders and not miss out on potential revenue.

Example:
If your minimum $ amount for a delivery order 7 miles away is $30 and a customer puts $29 worth of food sub-total in their cart, they will receive a pop-up that asks them if they want to pay $1 to “close the gap” so their order is eligible for delivery.

Of course, your customers can add a dessert or a soda to close that gap but sometimes people just like to get their food and that’s it, this option allows them to do just that, with no hassle just one click and they can get their delivery started.

DeliverLogic API Integration

With access to the open DeliverLogic API, you are now able to inject orders into the software that originate directly from your restaurant or retail partners.

These orders can then be dispatched, executed, and tracked inside of the DeliverLogic software so that you can easily fulfill orders from all types of different sources in one single super-powered platform.

Below we will show you how to go into some basic use cases that you can utilize this API integration:

User Roles & Permissions

In order to ensure your employees, drivers, and/or managers have the right set of permissions and access to proper sections of your admin backend you can utilize the PERMISSIONS tab.

In order to quickly see permissions for each page for your users you can go to Reports>Misc.>Page Permissions to determine which roles need changes in permissions

This will allow you to build a structure that works like a well-oiled machine so you can focus on things to grow your business further.

Administrators will be able to change permissions for these roles:

Additional Features and Updates

Providing a customized ordering experience for customers can help you greatly in getting the customers to actually finish checking out.

Our menu building section can be customized in many ways but our biggest potential is in the pre-selected options. This lets you offer any BYO item like Burgers, Salads, Rice Bowl and others but have the restaurant's original creations included.
(ex. Buffalo Chicken Pizza with BBQ Sauce, Buffalo Sauce, Chicken and Cheese already pre-selected for the customer)

It will also allow you to offer creations and specifications that your customers ACTUALLY like because if they can order an item just like they order at a Drive-Thru or inside a restaurant they are more likely to go through with the order and check out.

Driver AutoComms are a very useful notifying system that will automatically update drivers by App Notification, Smart Call or SMS.

This can greatly improve efficiency between you as an operator, dispatchers and drivers. It will also help your drivers to stay on track to deliver MORE orders quickly!
